Hey everyone is Aja Dang and today's video is all about stacking. Now what is stacking? Stacking is basically layering chokers and necklaces together to get something beautiful like this and every time I post pictures of me wearing necklaces and chokers, you guys always ask me where I get them, so I decided to do a dedicated video on how to stack.
So not only am I going to teach you basic how to stacking tips and tricks, but I'll also be changing into different necklines to show you how you can stack according to your neckline. So I hope you all enjoy this video, again I love stacking because for me, who is very minimal in terms of jewellery this is just a really fun and easy way to I guess improve my wardrobe. So I hope you all enjoy it and if you want to see how to stack, stay tuned. Alright so let's get to the basics, this will be your starting point for any stacking you want to do. The first necklace should hit right here I think is called the sternum but basically it needs to hit in the middle of these two bones. Depending on your neck size this will either be a 12 or 14 inch neck. This is a good starting point right here, because you can either stack below, above or both this initial piece. Now I'm going to add this washed ashore pearl piece, now that you have these two together, you can decide what your look is going to be. As you continue to add upwards to your stack, just make sure they each additional piece is just higher than your last piece. Okay so now this is really a full neck so we're going to add a couple layers below, so to start going down the neckline I'm going to use this really simple lariat. I like how the crystal piece in this lariat mimics the crystal piece in the very first choker that we put on. It's important to start keeping everything centre or else your neckline is just going to look crazy. This necklace is great because it's basically its own stack but we're just going to add it to our current stacking situation and this piece also has tassels, but today I'm just going to tie them together and let them fall. So with this stack we played with different textures, we added beaded textures and heavier textures and then lower on the neck we kept it simple. The most colour we did was in this cream pearl, but mostly this is gold and crystal. I wore this on snapchat and Instagram and you all loved it, so now you can create your own fabulous stack with these tips. For off-the-shoulder, you want to layer higher. This way you won't distract from the beautiful off-the-shoulder neckline I like to use this bolo. This piece is actually my go-to, I'm sure you've seen this in at least three or four of my videos. I wear it all the time, you can either tie it on the back for a minimal look or wrap it around. Since the tie is black this of course would look great with a black top. This looks amazing as is but if you wanted to add an additional piece to your look, this piece would be great. The piece itself is minimal and looks great on its own plus it already has some built in layers. Since I'm stacking them together I'm going to tie the bow low in the backs the bow doesn't look too busy with the gold drops. Now let's talk about the bra chain, a lot of people only think to wear bra chains with bathing suits but they are actually way more versatile than that. I'm pairing this bra chain with a deep V top because it adds more dimension without being too over-the-top. The best thing about using a bra chain is that it stays in place, where as necklaces kind of do their own thing so if you wanted more security, a bra chain might be the way to go. So since it's called out I think styling a turtleneck with a choker is really pretty. First the turtleneck should be on the tighter side, I have some drape your turtlenecks that would not look good with the stack. Second the chokers should be on the thicker side so it stands out against the turtleneck. Look at that, how cute is that? All right everyone thank you so much for watching this video, I hope you found it informative. Again all the links are going to be in the description box, please check it out and if you have a particular choker or necklace that you absolutely love and would love to share with us, please share in the comments and if you have any other video recommendations, please put those in the comments section as well. I'm Aja Dang, thank you so much for watching. I'll see you all later, bye.
